ClassNova is an educational management platform operated by VedNova AI Technologies LLP ("VedNova", "we", "our", or "us"), designed for schools, tuition classes, coaching institutes, colleges, academies, and individual educators.

The platform enables management of student records, attendance, homework, notes, announcements, leave requests, academic reports, parent communication, and notifications.

Teachers and parents create ClassNova accounts; students do not. We collect the following categories of information:

To deliver notifications we store a device notification token and an app-generated device identifier. You can change what you receive in Settings → Notifications in the app, or turn notifications off in your phone's system settings.

ClassNova is designed for educational institutions and may involve information related to students below the age of 18.

Student data is used solely for educational administration and parent communication purposes. Parents and guardians may contact us at [email protected] to ask about, correct, or request deletion of their child's information.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information.

No system can guarantee absolute security. We continuously work to improve our security practices.

ClassNova does not sell personal information. Information may be shared only in the following limited circumstances:

Teachers see student information according to the permissions their Organization Owner grants them. A parent can see only the records of the child linked to their registered mobile number. We share information with the service providers listed in Section 11 only to operate ClassNova.

We keep information for as long as your account, or your organization's account, is active. Educational records belong to the organization and remain available to it even when a teacher leaves the organization.

After you request account deletion, your account enters a 7-day recovery period before your personal information is permanently deleted — see Section 10. This 7-day recovery period applies to every account type: Organization Owners, Organization Members, and Parents. We keep information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or where we must retain it for legal, tax, security, or dispute-resolution purposes (for example, payment and invoice records, which may be kept for longer where required by law).

You can delete your ClassNova account yourself in the app: Profile → Settings → Legal → Delete Account, then confirm with your account password. No manual approval is required — deletion happens automatically once you confirm.

Educational records created inside an organization — such as attendance, homework, notes, announcements, leave requests and reports — belong to that organization and may remain available to the organization after a teacher or parent account is permanently deleted. Payment and invoice records may be retained for longer as required by applicable tax and accounting laws. Certain records may also be retained where required by law or to resolve disputes.

If you are the sole Owner of an organization, please contact support before deleting your account so that the organization, its data and its subscription can be handled.

ClassNova uses the following providers to operate the service, each processing information only as needed for that purpose:

• Amazon Web Services — authentication through Amazon Cognito, including email one-time-password verification, and cloud hosting for the ClassNova backend and uploaded files.
• Razorpay — subscription payment processing. Card and UPI details are entered into and processed by Razorpay.
• Google Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivery of push notifications to your device.

We do not use advertising networks or third-party analytics software, and we do not sell your data.

Information may be processed and stored on cloud infrastructure located in various jurisdictions depending on the service providers we use. We ensure that any such transfers are conducted in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

You can ask us to give you access to the personal information held about you, correct information that is inaccurate, or delete your account and the personal information associated with it.

Teachers and parents can review and edit their own profile details in the app under Settings → Profile, and can delete their account as described in Section 10. For anything else, email [email protected] from your registered email address; we verify ownership of the account before acting on a request.

VedNova AI Technologies LLP may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be published on the official website and may become effective immediately upon publication.
