What Can ClassNova Do?

Student & Batch Management

What it does: Keep every student record in one place, organise students into classes or batches with their subjects, and promote or move students to the next class at the end of the year.
Who it helps: Owners, administrators and class teachers.
What it replaces: Replaces admission registers and spreadsheets that drift out of date and have to be rewritten every academic year.

Attendance & Class Sessions

What it does: Start a class session, mark attendance batch by batch in a few taps, record the topic covered, and review session history.
Who it helps: Teachers mark it; owners and parents can see it.
What it replaces: Replaces paper roll calls and the end-of-month work of totalling attendance by hand.

Printable Attendance Register

What it does: Generate an attendance register for a chosen period and download it as a PDF or print it.
Who it helps: Administrators and schools that must keep a physical register.
What it replaces: Removes the need to copy digital attendance back into a paper register for records or inspections.

Homework

What it does: Assign homework to a batch and subject with a due date and file attachments, and see how many students have completed it.
Who it helps: Teachers, students’ parents and owners.
What it replaces: Replaces homework written on the board or posted in chat groups, where it gets lost and completion is hard to track.

Notes & Study Material

What it does: Share notes and learning material by subject, with attachments such as PDFs, images and documents.
Who it helps: Teachers share it; parents can open it on their own phone.
What it replaces: Saves printing and photocopying, and keeps material organised by subject instead of buried in a chat thread.

Announcements & Leave Requests

What it does: Send announcements to selected batches or the whole organisation, marked normal, high or urgent. Parents submit leave requests in the app and teachers review them.

What it replaces: Replaces circulars, phone calls and handwritten leave notes.

Reports & PDF Export

What it does: Batch and organisation reports for a month, the last 3 or 6 months, a year or a custom range, plus a report for each student — exportable as a PDF.

Parent Accounts

Teachers & Permissions

What it does: Invite any number of teachers and choose what each one can do. One teacher account can work across more than one organisation.

What it does: Push and in-app notifications for announcements, leave requests and other updates, with per-user notification preferences.

12 Indian Languages

What it does: Use the app in English, Hindi, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Gujarati, Bengali, Punjabi, Odia or Assamese.
Who it helps: Teachers and parents who prefer their own language.
What it replaces: Parents who are not comfortable in English can still follow their child’s progress.

Subscription Management

What it does: Owners choose a student count and billing period, add students later, see usage, download invoices and cancel from the app. Payments are processed by Razorpay.
Who it helps: Organisation owners.
What it replaces: Billing is self-serve and transparent — no negotiating a quote or chasing invoices.

Good to Know Before You Start

Exam and marks entry is not available yet.
Updates go through ClassNova push and in-app notifications, not WhatsApp or SMS.
Collecting fees from students or parents is not part of ClassNova.
An internet connection is needed to sign in and record attendance.
