1. ABOUT CLASSNOVA
ClassNova is an educational management platform designed for schools, tuition classes, coaching institutes, colleges, academies, and individual teachers. The platform enables management of attendance, homework, notes, announcements, leave requests, academic reports, notifications, parent communication, and related educational activities.
2. USER TYPES
A. Teachers
Teachers may create and manage educational organizations and may act as Organization Owner or Organization Member.
B. Parents
Parents may access student-related information only for students linked to their account as described in Section 7. Students do not maintain user accounts within the platform.
3. ORGANIZATION OWNERSHIP
An Organization may represent a School, Tuition Class, Coaching Institute, College, Academy, or Individual Educator. The user who creates an Organization becomes its Owner and is responsible for student management, teacher invitations, subscription management, organization configuration, and compliance with applicable laws.
The Organization Owner is responsible for ensuring that the organization has the right, and any parental consent required by law, to enter student information into ClassNova.
4. OWNER PERMISSIONS
Organization Owners may create, edit, and delete classes and batches; add, edit, and remove students; invite and remove teachers and set their permissions; manage subscriptions and billing; edit the organization profile; access attendance, homework, notes and reports; and send announcements and notifications.
5. MEMBER PERMISSIONS
Organization Members may use the features the Owner has enabled for them. By default, Members can mark attendance, manage homework and notes, view reports, send announcements, and review leave requests. Creating or deleting batches and subjects, adding or editing students, and other administrative actions are available only where the Owner grants that permission.
Members may not manage subscriptions, create or delete organizations, or remove Organization Owners.
6. MULTIPLE ORGANIZATIONS
A teacher may belong to multiple organizations using a single account. A teacher may own one organization, be a member of another, and participate in multiple organizations simultaneously without separate accounts.
7. PARENT ACCESS
A parent can view a student's information only where the mobile number registered on the parent's ClassNova account matches the parent mobile number recorded for that student by the student's organization. Parents cannot link themselves to a student by any other means.
The organization is responsible for entering correct parent contact details. VedNova and the organization may remove or correct a parent association where necessary, including where the recorded information is inaccurate.
8. STUDENT RECORDS
Student records are maintained within organizations. The same individual student may appear as separate records across different organizations (for example: School Record, Tuition Record, Coaching Record). Each record may be managed independently.
9. SUBSCRIPTION PLANS
ClassNova is offered under paid subscription plans that differ by student capacity and features. The plans, prices, billing periods, and student limits that apply to you are shown in the app under Subscriptions at the time of purchase.
We may change plans or prices for future purchases. A change does not affect a billing period you have already paid for.
10. STUDENT LIMITS
Each subscription plan includes a maximum student limit. When an organization reaches its assigned limit, new student creation may be restricted and an upgrade may be required. Existing student records will remain accessible.
11. SUBSCRIPTION EXPIRY
If a subscription expires, your organization may first enter a grace period and may then lose access to features that require an active subscription, such as creating students, recording attendance, or creating homework and notes. Your data is not automatically deleted solely because a subscription expires.
12. DATA OWNERSHIP
Educational records stored within an organization belong to that organization. Records may include attendance, homework, notes, announcements, leave requests, and reports. If a teacher leaves an organization, historical educational records may remain associated with the organization.
13. ACCEPTABLE USE
Users agree not to violate applicable laws, impersonate others, access unauthorized information, upload malicious software, disrupt platform operations, or attempt unauthorized access to accounts or systems. VedNova may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
14. PAYMENTS
Subscription payments are processed by Razorpay. By making a payment you also accept Razorpay's terms. ClassNova does not store your card or UPI details.
Invoices and payment history are available in the app under Subscriptions → Billing history. VedNova reserves the right to modify pricing, plans, and billing cycles for future purchases.
15. REFUNDS
Unless otherwise required by applicable law, subscription fees may be non-refundable after successful activation. Refund requests may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and should be sent to [email protected] with the relevant invoice details.
16. SERVICE AVAILABILITY
We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled maintenance, technical issues, upgrades, and external service failures may affect availability.
17. ACCOUNT DELETION
You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Legal → Delete Account in the app, or by following the instructions at vednovaai.com/delete-account. No manual approval is required. Deletion deactivates your account immediately and signs you out on all devices.
Your account then enters a 7-day recovery period. Logging back in during those 7 days cancels the deletion and restores your account. If you do not log back in within 7 days, your account and personal information are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. This applies to all account types — Organization Owners, Organization Members, and Parents.
How your information is handled after deletion is described in full in our Privacy Policy. Educational records belong to the organization (Section 12) and may remain with it after your account is permanently deleted. If you are the sole Owner of an organization, contact support before deleting your account so that the organization, its data, and its subscription can be handled.
18. TERMINATION
VedNova may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, compromise platform security, or misuse educational data.
19. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VedNova AI Technologies LLP shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the platform.
20. MODIFICATIONS
VedNova may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
21. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Maharashtra, India.
